Local events are in full swing this year with a Maine-Mardi Gras Theme! Carnival events on Friday August 19th at the Anson Town Office including the annual Pig Scramble. Hear local musical talent at the Somerset Abbey's Madison Idol event Friday night.
Saturday is the Mardi-Gras Parade at 10am and Carnival Events and Craft Sales in Madison
Fireworks 9pm Saturday Night
Sunday is the annual Fishing Tournament on the Kennebec, Golf Tournament at Lakewood and 5k
