Tax bill have not been sent out for 2014 because Town Officials are still working to set the official tax rate for the year.  The change in valuation at Madison Paper (UPM Madison) will cause a signficant increase in the tax rate.  An information meeting and Special Town Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday September 16th to discuss options and vote on proposals to provide residents with some tax relief.  The meeting begins at 7pm at the Madison Junior High School.

7 Year Tax Relief Proposal This spread sheet shows detailed estimates of the Town's Valuation, the Amount needed to Fund the Budget, and tax rates over the next 7 years.  This proposal assumes the use of a $2.5 Million line of credit.
